The Weekend Face Lift
Advanced Neck Microsuction (Microliposuction) with skin and muscle tightening (Submentaplasty and Platismaplasty)

The Weekend Face Lift incorporates the most advanced and current techniques that have evolved over the last several years.
The problems it addresses are the ones that people see in the mirror, such as jowling of the jawline, fullness of the neck, the turkey waddle appearance of the neck and the loss of the jawline curve.

In the past these problems have been addressed by performing a face or neck lift, which involved significant incisions behind the ear and a long recovery time for the patient. Several of these unpleasant aspects have been eliminated and recovery time has been substantially reduced. The number and size of required incisions has been greatly reduced and they are confined to the neck only. This procedure is simple enough that only local anesthesia is required and the patient can drive home unassisted after the hour long surgery.

The biggest advantage of the weekend face lift is that the same or better result is now accomplished with a much simpler procedure. This new procedure involves the use of microliposuction to reduce excess fat.
The use of laser techniques is also employed to tighten the skin of the neck. All of these procedures are done through tiny incisions just beneath the ear lobe and just behind the chin.

For the past ten years, Dr. Kahn has been performing and perfecting this procedure. He's found over the years that the sagging neck is not just caused by fat deposits and sagging skin, but also by the sagging of the muscle cords under the skin (Platysma muscle).
Dr. Kahn developed and combined minimally invasive techniques of fat removal, skin and muscle tightening, achieving a much more youthful, better than ever result.
All procedures are performed in our fully equipped and accredited operating room. Local anesthesia such as Novacaine is all that is required, however the patient can request an IV drip for sedation. All anesthesia choices are made according to the patient's needs. The procedure is typically less painful than a trip to the dentist.
The small incision of the chin requires only a few sutures and is then covered with surgical tape. There is no postoperative pain and minimal bruising and swelling from the Weekend Face Lift. After four to five days the patient can return to work.

The ideal patient for this procedure requires only sufficient elasticity in the skin of the neck region.
